Greetings and salutations, all, and welcome back once again. I have to wonder if I'm not going about the whole promotional thing in the wrong way. I mean, from everything I've been reading the last couple of days, I'm using one of the worst possible methods of producing a podcast with iPadio, which results in The Storyteller's Corner getting very little in the way of traffic. What does this mean for me personally?
It means I feel like an idiot, and it makes me question if perhaps I've been wasting my time with the entire endeavor. I mean, I was starting to feel really good about the show, as I have just hit 32 episodes with the most recent release. But if nobody has access to the show, if nobody can listen to it, then what good is it doing? I'm essentially howling into the void unless I can figure out a way to drive more traffic to the show.
And that, of course, would require links on social media platforms. I don't want to inundate my groups and lists, as I have in the past, and thus alienate what would normally be my prospective audience. I have to figure out what to do, especially if I want to start making some kind of profit off of my fictional works.
And before anyone thinks about posting links to 'How to Make Money As A Writer/Kindle Author/Blogger' kind of scams and marketing tricks/packages, bear in mind this: I have no interest in spending money I don't have on such gimmicks.
I need to just keep working at it, I suppose.
